MATT BAKER
Born and raised in old homes, Matt learned early to appreciate and understand old home architecture. Matt spent years working on old homes with his father giving him intimate understandings of the materials and methods used to build them. Each of Omaha's old home neighborhoods has its own set of defining characteristics in design and build quality. Matt continues to obsessively learn each of them.

The Young Preservationist Award is offered by Restoration Exchange Omaha in recognition of achievement in preservation, rehabilitation and renovation of buildings and sites in Omaha and the surrounding communities for a person under the age of 40. Matt Baker was honored to be the 2015 recipient of the award.
